Life Drawing

Drawing from a live model has been a constant challenge all my artistic life. Every mark I make is unique to me and the sum of many marks I have made before. Great artists like Matisse, Degas, Picasso, Redon etc knew the importance of life drawing which breathed LIFE into all their art both landscape & figurative . For me the human body is one of the most difficult subjects to paint or draw.
