Glenise Clelland

I am an award winning Australian artist working from my studio at Indooroopilly, Brisbane.  For 23years my studio at Noosa North Shore was surrounded by acres of waterlily covered  wetlands and amazing bird life.  The ever changing light and colours were a constant source of inspiration for many paintings and drawings.

  For me, life drawing - drawing with a live model - has been the backbone of all my artist endeavors both landscape and figurative.  Sometimes the subject is just an excuse to play with colour.  See more on my youtube video.

  Since the 1970's I have lived and traveled in the South Pacific Islands and my paintings have been inspired by my observations of fast changing cultures.  As a mother, I have had an empathy for the mothers and babes I have met and painted in remote villages. 

​

 My paintings have been selected in Regional Galleries and prestigious prize exhibitions in Australia  and overseas.  My art is now in 15countries and across Australia in Government, Corporate and private collections.
